Making your home energy efficient

Energy efficiency has a positive effect on a community.  It reduces energy costs throughout the year, makes homes more comfortable, and lowers greenhouse gas emissions. To help residents save money and make their home's more energy efficient, Massachusetts has developed the MassSAVE program. MassSAVE offers residents no-cost home energy assessments, money-saving rebates when you install qualifying energy efficiency equipment, and up to $2,000 in incentives for purchasing and installing approved energy-saving measures.    

MassSAVE is funded by gas and electric ratepayers and sponsored by Massachusetts’ natural gas and electric utilities and energy efficiency service providers. The program is operated according to state law and under the regulations of the Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities and the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources.
