 Charter Review Committee The Charter Review Committee has completed its deliberations and forwarded a report to the Town Council on Tuesday, January 18, 2011. The report includes recommendations from the committee that is a compilation of input from many sources including elected officials, staff members and the public. Thank you to all who participated in the process. We look forward to working with the Town Council and the Mayor to finalize the recommended changes in preparation for the fall 2011 election where the recommendations will appear for approval by the voters of the Town of Weymouth. In accord with the provisions of the Town of Weymouth Charter Section 8-5 the Mayor and Town Council appointed a Charter Review Committee. The Committee consists of nine members, five appointed by the Mayor and four appointed by the Town Council President. The charge of the Committee is to review the Town Charter and forward recommendations in the form of a report to the Town Council for consideration. This web page consists of information regarding the Charter Review Committee.
