  Vision and Mission Statements:

WSAPT Vision Statement: WSAPT envisions a Weymouth where drugs are not readily available to youth and where adolescents decide to not use drugs because they are highly involved in the Weymouth community, have been effectively educated about the dangers of using drugs, and have been exposed to positive anti-drug influences at home.

WSAPT’s Mission Statement: The Weymouth Substance Abuse Prevention Team will develop a realistic, sustainable, comprehensive community substance abuse prevention plan for the community of Weymouth, with a special emphasis on youth. The prevention plan will be realized through assessment of community needs, an understanding of environmental strategies, and the application of the principles of youth development. The Team will assess community perceptions and attitudes about alcohol and other substance use by meeting with and engaging targeted audiences in Weymouth.”
