Eating fruits and vegetables each day is important for your health. The Town of Weymouth and Weymouth Food Pantry's Family to Family Program helps residents in need buy more fresh, local food for their households and families.
What is the Farm to Family Program?
The Farm to Family Program is a local initiative that matches SNAP dollars for spending on eligible fresh, local food at the Union Point Farmers' Market. This same benefit is available to Weymouth Food Pantry clients.
How does it work?
SNAP shoppers swipe their EBT card at the Town's Market Buck Tent in exchange for wooden tokens that act like currency for eligible fresh, local food at the Union Point Farmers' Market. SNAP shopper receive double their dollars, back, up to an additional $20 in wooden tokens per market. This same "market match" is provided to Weymouth Food Pantry clients who show a Food Pantry ID card and have a debit card available.
