Medical Transportation for Weymouth and surrounding towns - (Please schedule by calling 781-682-3824.)
Transportation for local medical appointments are provided based on availability. Please schedule transportation with us as soon as you book your medical appointment. Last minute scheduling will only be accommodated if the schedule permits. Minimal donations per trip at $3.00 each way are sought to help cover the expenses of the transport and the vehicles we need to transport in. This service is only available to Weymouth seniors 60+. Medical Transportation for Boston Area - (Please schedule by calling 781-682-3824.)
This Service is for seniors 60+ who are unable to access other modes of transportation for appointments in and around Boston. This transportation is a contracted service with appointments scheduled through Weymouth Elder Services. This program is funded in part by a Title IIIB grant of the Older Americans Act through South Shore Elder Services. Transportation to and From the Senior Center (Please schedule by calling 781-682-3813)
We are happy to announce that seniors now have the opportunity to schedule transportation to and from their homes to the senior center. Two vans will be available to transport you to and from your favorite programs at the senior center. Need a ride to exercise class? Need a ride to the writers workshop? Maybe you need a ride to the senior center to meet with our SHINE representative or need an in person appointment with Outreach? If you are independently able to get in and out of our elder services vans, we are able to add to you the list of riders. The cost to use this service will be $1.00 each way or $2.00 roundtrip and will be first come first serve until we figure out how many people wish to use the service. To start you can schedule no more than two trips per week so we can utilize the service for as many seniors as possible.
