Social Services

Social services are a vital source of economic security for many households. To assist residents in locating services, the Town of Weymouth has developed a Social Services Reference Guide. This guide summarizes a variety of social service programs available in and around Weymouth, and offers contact information for local providers as well as general information on the eligibility and scope of assistance offered. Please note that this guide is not comprehensive. Nor does the mention of any facility, organization, or program constitute an endorsement by the Town. To report any errors in information or to request the inclusion of a new reference, please contact the Town's Housing Coordinator. South Shore Health’s Community Resource Directory offers an easy way for you to connect with community resources to help manage those challenges. Use the Directory to find free or low-cost services close to where you live and work for things like housing, food or transportation.

Mass 211 easily connects callers to information about critical health and human services available in their community.
It serves as a free, confidentialresource for finding government services, nonprofit organizations, support groups, volunteer opportunities, donation programs, and other local resources.
For more extensive information on social services or to consult with someone immediately, residents can dial 2-1-1 to speak with a 24-hour, multilingual call center at the Mass 211 program.
