Public Meeting - U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - Regarding the Remedial Investigation of the Hingham Naval Ammunition Depot

The United States Army Corps of Engineers will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, 28 March 2018, at Weymouth Town Hall, 75 Middle Street, Town Council Chambers, 2nd Floor, at 7:00 PM. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the Remedial Investigation being conducted this spring and summer at the former Hingham Naval Ammunition Depot at Bare Cove Park and in the Weymouth Back River. The goal of the Remedial Investigation is to characterize the nature and extent of potential explosive safety hazards and munitions constituents at the former depot. During the investigation, specific areas within Bare Cove Park, Great Esker Park, and the Weymouth Back River will be closed and safety zones will be established in and around the investigation sites.
