Public Hearing & Comment Period on Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report - 2020-2021

The Department of Planning and Community Development (DPCD) hold a public hearing on its end-of-the year performance report on the use of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds for 2020-2021.
CDBG funds are provided annual to the Town of Weymouth as an entitlement from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to use predominately to benefit low and moderate income residents in the areas of housing, community and economic development.
Each October, the Town must submit a Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) covering the prior fiscal year (July 1 to June 30) describing the accomplishments achieved and the costs incurred for each CDBG-funded activity.
Public Hearing on Accomplishments and Costs for CDBG 2020-2021
The Town will hold a public hearing on the CAPER for the period from July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021 as follows: Wednesday, September 15, 2021, 6:00 PM, 182 Green Street (the "Whipple Center) in the Mary McElroy Conference Room.
The DPCD and/or fund recipients will present information on accomplishments and costs and beneficiaries during the hearing. The public is invited to offer comments at the hearing.
30 Day Public Comment Period on Draft CAPER
The public will have a 30 day public comment period from September 22, 2021 to October 22, 2021 on the DRAFT CAPER to be posted on September 22 on the Town website.

The Town will provide a 30-day public comment period on the Draft CAPER beginning on September 22, 2021 when the CAPER will be posted on the Town website. The comment period will end on October 22, 2021. Comments must be submitted in writing via email or regular mail by 4:30 PM on October 22 to jlehrer@weymouth.ma.us or Weymouth Town Hall, 75 Middle Street, 3rd Floor DPCD, Weymouth MA 02189.
