Planning Board
The Planning Board plans for future growth and development in the Town of Weymouth and regulates the subdivision of land.
The responsibilities of the Planning Board include:
- Develop and from time to time amend a Town Master Plan.
- Develop and make recommendations for amendments to the Town Zoning Ordinance.
- Develop and implement subdivision control regulations.
- Survey the growth and needs of the Town, including the physical conditions and adequacy of its public buildings and facilities.
- Prepare and annually revise the Town Capital Improvement Plan.
The Planning Board is composed of five members of the community appointed by the Mayor.
