Waterfront Committee
The Waterfront Committee acts for the preservation, promotion, and protection of the Weymouth waterfront.
The responsibilities of the Waterfront Committee include:
- Review and update the policies and recommendations of the Town Waterfront Plan.
- Recommend ordinances, policies, guidelines, and regulations consistent with the Waterfront Plan.
- Recommend expenditures from the Town Waterways Fund.
- Assist in the placement or arrangement of existing and future moorings in partnership with the Harbormaster.
- Educate the public on the intrinsic value and natural beauty of the Weymouth waterfront.
The Waterfront Committee is composed of nine members of the community appointed by the Mayor. The Harbormaster serves by virtue of office as a member of the committee.
