TOWN OF WEYMOUTH

REPLACEMENT OF COMMERCIAL ST BRIDGE

The Town of Weymouth – DPW – Highway Division is requesting sealed BIDS for the replacement of the Commercial St. Bridge which includes, but is not limited to: demo of existing bridge superstructure over the Herring Run Brook; preserving existing channel walls; constructing new abutments behind existing channel walls; constructing new deck beam superstructure, concrete slab, sidewalks, CT-TL2 parapets and pavement. Includes approach roadway reconstruction with existing gas, water, sanitary sewer, drainage, and phone utility modifications.  Stage construction, with temporary street closure; additional stages for east sidewalk, parapet and phone utility relocation.

“OPERATION AND MANAGEMENT OF THE SCHOOL FOOD SERVICE PROGRAM”

This RFP invites ‘firm specifications and price proposals’ for consideration by the Weymouth School District for the “Operation and Management of the School Food Service Program”. Sealed proposals must be prepared in strict accordance with the instructions and requirements contained in the RFP and must be submitted to the Superintendent’s Office on or before 10:00 a.m. on May 18, 2020. A mandatory “pre-bid conference” (mandatory walk thru) is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on May 1, 2020 in the Office of the Superintendent of Schools, 111 Middle Street, Weymouth, MA 02189. RFP will become available on April 3, 2020. All questions after mandatory “site walk thru” need to be in by May 8, 2020 submitted in written form or email to: Brian Smith, Assistant Superintendent of Finance & Operations, Weymouth School District at Email.

MARIA WESTON CHAPMAN MIDDLE SCHOOL PROJECT

Pursuant to Chapter 193 of the Acts of 2004, the Town of Weymouth, requests qualifications from trade contractors for the Maria Weston Chapman Middle School Project, 1051 Commercial St, Weymouth, MA 02189. The Awarding Authority invites pre-qualifications, pursuant to M. G. L. Chapter 149A, Sections 8 of trade contractors. The following are the sub-trades for which qualification packages are being requested:

Elevators

This request for qualifications (RFQ) will be used to pre-qualify trade contractors and who will be invited to submit bids pursuant to section 8 of Massachusetts General Law Chapter 149A as amended by Chapter 193 of the Acts of 2004.

Please note that this was previously advertised and is being advertised again because of an insufficient number of responses previously.  If your firm responded to the initial advertisement, your SOQ is being retained and there is no need to respond to this invitation to bid.

The estimated cost of construction is: $128,100,000.00

Request for Qualification Packets may be picked up on/after 12:00 pm EST Wednesday, March 11, 2020 from the Owner’s Project Manager:  Hill International, 75 Second Avenue, Suite 300, Needham, MA 02494. RFQ packages are free of charge. RFQ documents can also be obtained in electronic format by email at PatrickLydon@hillintl.com. Respondents must provide all contact information.

Statements of Qualifications in response to this RFQ shall be signed under the pains and penalties of perjury. Qualifications must be received on/before 2:00 pm EST Thursday, March 26, 2020 at Hill International, 75 Second Avenue, Suite 300, Needham, MA 02494. All responses submitted after this time will not be accepted.


Weymouth Herring Passage & Smelt Habitat Improvement Project

The Weymouth Department of Public Works (DPW) is soliciting bids for the Weymouth Herring Passage and Smelt Habitat Restoration Project (Contract No. PW-19-004-CR).
Work includes replacement of an existing fish diversion swing gate at the outlet of a flood control conduit with a concrete wall and slide gate,
placement of substrate suitable for smelt spawning, restoration of a herring resting pool, and re-grading of an unauthorized rock weir to restore smelt spawning habitat.

Bids will be received until Wednesday, March 18 at 10:00 am at the DPW, located at 120 Winter Street in Weymouth, MA 02188.

 A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at the Davey Meeting Room of the Weymouth Police Station
at 140 Winter Street in Weymouth, MA 02188, and will include a visit to the site
.

WEYMOUTH GREAT POND DAM IMPROVEMENTS

The Town of Weymouth invites sealed bids for the Great Pond Dam Improvements due at the Engineering Division of the DPW located at 120 Winter Street
no later than 10:00 a.m. on Thursday – March 12, 2020 where they will be opened and read aloud. 
Work includes replacement of the existing culvert, existing spillway & outlet modifications,
embankment improvements, utility and drainage relocations and improvements,
fabrication and installation of gates, stop logs, and miscellaneous metal fabrications.

A MANDATORY PRE_BID meeting will be held on Monday, February 24, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at the Weymouth Great Pond Water Treatment Plant, 239 Pond St., Weymouth, MA 02190.
