The Weymouth Cultural Council is responsible for the distribution of Mass Cultural Council funds to promote and encourage community-based programs in the arts, humanities, and interpretive sciences. The Council annually reviews grant applications for eligible cultural programs. Prior year applicants have included local artists, community groups, public schools, cultural institutions, and municipal departments. Many of these programs are held at local venues such as the Weymouth Public Libraries, Whipple Senior Center, Weymouth Public Schools, and Town Civic Center.
The Weymouth Cultural Council consists of seven members of the community appointed by the Mayor. Click here to learn more about the Mass Cultural Council's Local Cultural Council (LCC) Program. For instructions on how to apply, visit the Weymouth Cultural Council's LCC online profile.
