Columbian Square Improvement Project Anticipated Construction Schedule: April 29 – May 3, 2024
Beginning on Monday, April 29, 2024, the Contractor is scheduled to continue the installation of street lighting conduits on Columbian Street. This segment of work will begin in front of the Cameo Theater and progress toward Fogg Road. On Thursday and Friday (5/2–5/3), crews will continue installing street lighting conduits starting at the Pleasant Street/ Central Street intersection and will move in front of the Bicycle Clinic.
To reduce impacts, it is encouraged that motorists seek alternate routes and expect brief traffic delays to facilitate efficient work and follow instructions from the Police Detail Officers. Ambulances and school buses will be given priority access through the work zone. Two-way vehicular traffic will be maintained throughout the work zone.
A second crew is scheduled to work in the west alley connecting Pleasant Street to the municipal parking lot behind Olden’s Pharmacy. This work will last until Friday, May 3, 2024.
