Weymouth Cultural Council

The Weymouth Cultural Council (WCC) is a volunteer group of town appointed Weymouth residents whose purpose is to support local public programs that promote access, education, diversity and excellence in the arts, humanities and interpretive sciences to benefit the residents of Weymouth, by administering the Massachusetts Cultural Council's Local Cultural Council (LCC) Program.

The LCC Program is the largest grassroots cultural funding network in the nation supporting thousands of community-based projects in the arts, humanities, and sciences annually. The program promotes the availability of rich cultural experiences for every Massachusetts citizen.

The Weymouth Cultural Council annually reviews program grant proposals submitted by individuals, schools, and cultural organizations. Many of these programs are held at local venues such as the Weymouth Public Library, Town Hall, Whipple Senior Center and individual Weymouth schools.

The current members of the Weymouth Cultural Council are:

Patrick Angland, Charlotte Champagne, Judith Beth Cohen (Co-chair), Annemarie Gables (Co-chair).
