Fair Housing 101 offers residents free dinner and fair housing education

Weymouth, MA - March 31, 2016 - Weymouth residents are invited to attend a free public event on fair housing hosted by the South Shore Fair Housing Committee.  Fair Housing 101 will feature a panel presentation and Q&A session on the fair housing obligations in Massachusetts.  Pizza will be served.  Registration is REQUIRED by April 26, 2016.  Call Louise Quinlan at 781-794-8235 or register online at http://fairhousing101.eventbrite.com.

Tenants, landlords, public officials, housing authority staff, lenders, property manager, real estate agents, and homebuyers

Fair Housing 101 is an event of the Fair Housing Committee, a body dedicated to implementing a fair housing plan for the South Shore HOME Consortium towns of Braintree, Holbrook, Milton, Quincy and Weymouth.  This entails better educating these communities about fair housing obligation, identifying the impediments to fair housing choice and creating a process of filing and tracking fair housing complaints.  Through this process the Committee seeks to implement fair housing best practices and policies throughout the region.
