Town will present design plans for Bradford Hawes Park

The Department of Planning and Community Development will hold a public meeting at Bradford Hawes Park on Wednesday, August 27, 2014, 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm.   At this time, ICON park designs will present sketch plans to renovate the 11-acre neighborhood park. Improvements will focus on the children’s playground, with a goal to make the area more inviting, handicap accessible, and better connected to other elements of the park.  Potential upgrades to additional sections of the park will also be presented.  This project is supported by a state grant through the Our Common Backyard program and has been funded in part with local Community Preservation Act funds.

Neighbors and residents are invited to attend the meeting and offer comments on the park’s improvements.  In the event of rain, the meeting will be held indoors at the Community Baptist Church, adjacent to the park at 17 Mutton Lane.  For those unable to attend, the architect's plans will be available online following their submission to the Department of Planning and Community Development.  Comments may be submitted by phone at (781) 340-5015 or online by clicking here.  Modifications to the plans, as necessary, will be made prior to the town moving forward.  However, because this is a time sensitive project, the Department of Planning and Community Development asks that all public comments be submitted by Friday, August 29, 2014.
