Adopt-A-Green Beautification Program

ADOPT A GREEN BEAUTIFICATION PROGRAM

Weymouth's ADOPT-A-GREEN BEAUTIFICATION PROGRAM commences on May 1st of each year and continues until the first frost in October. There are many islands available to adopt in Weymouth.  Responsibilities of green maintenance include mowing the grass, weeding, planting, flowerbeds, watering, raking and general maintenance of the designated island.


Individuals generous enough to volunteer for this program will be provided with a sign that is installed by the Department of Public Works that recognizes their efforts. The sponsor of the adopted island can
choose to put their own name on the sign or choose the name of a beloved person they may have lost.
