The Waterfront Committee promotes, preserves, and protects the interests of the Weymouth waterfront. The committee is responsible for reviewing and updating the Town's Waterfront Plan, making recommendations for appropriate regulations consistent with said plan, commenting on activities within the coastal and tidal waters of the Town, assisting in the placement and arrangement of moorings, making recommendations for expenditures from the Town's Waterways Fund, and educating the public on the intrinsic value and natural beauty of the Weymouth waterfront.
The Waterfront Committee is composed of nine members of the community appointed by the Mayor. The Harbormaster serves by virtue of office as a member of the committee.
