PURPOSE OF MEETING:
The proponent proposes to develop a two story congregate living facility to assist elderly individuals. The dwelling residence will be organized into eight internal groupings or pods of up to six people. Each pod will provide private individual bedrooms and will be flexible based on common interests or needs of the occupants in residence. The residence will include universal design to offer accessible living for occupants who have physical disabilities as well as occupants who age in place. The proposed development complies with the requirements of the Fair Housing Act, which allows this use within the residential district. There will be an open Q&A and Town staff from the Department of Planning and Community Development will be in attendance.
