Fuel and Utilities Assistance Available for Weymouth Residents Impacted by COVID-19

The Town of Weymouth has contracted with Quincy Community Action Programs (QCAP) to provide Fuel and Utility Assistance to Weymouth households impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.  This program is funded through Housing and Urban Development (HUD) under its Community Development Block Grant-CV3 Program (CDBG-CV3), which awards CDBG funds as an entitlement to the Town annually to assist with housing, community, and economic development. Additionally, under the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) HUD has awarded special CDBG funds to be used to prevent, prepare for, and respond to COVID-19.

This Fuel and Utility Assistance Program will offer up to $5,000 to assist Weymouth households earning less than 80% of the Area Median Household income with current fuel and utility bills and up to six months of arrearages.
