Summer Reading - Read to Bead 2024

Create your own wearable reading log! 
 

1. Register Online. 
2. Come to the Tufts Library to pick up your reading log or print one from home. 
3. Track the number of minutes you read each June 24th through August 9th. 
4. The Bead Bank will open July 1st and is staffed by Teen Volunteers.  Bank hours are Monday-Thursday 9am-8:30pm and Fridays 9am-4:30pm. On your first visit to the Bead Bank, you'll receive your chain and library Brag Tag. 
5. Show your log to the Bead Banker and they will help you choose the beads you've earned each time you visit.
6. Add your beads to the chain provided by the library and show everyone what a great reader you are! The more you read, the fancier your necklace will be.

PRIZES!

By registering online, you will also earn a chance to win prizes at the end of the program. We've got some fun prizes, so be sure to register online! So to recap...

Are you a Mom, Dad, Grandparent or Babysitter who reads to a little one? Just because they may be too young for the beads, doesn't mean you have to miss out. Register them for the program and you can wear the chain to show the world how much you read to your little one. 

Volunteer Opportunities for Teens
