Columbian Square Improvement Project Anticipated Construction Schedule: April 1 – 5, 2024

Beginning on Monday, April 1, 2024, crews will be working at the intersection of Columbian Street and Burton Terrace, and also on Pleasant Street, across from Torrey Street and Tower Avenue prepping for sidewalk installation. This work is anticipated to continue until Wednesday, April 3, 2024. Two-way vehicular traffic will be maintained throughout the work zone. Parking in this area will be limited as work progresses.

Starting on Thursday, April 4, 2024, crews will be working at the intersection of Pleasant Street, Columbian Street, and Union Street to continue the installation of new sidewalks and the set-up of conduits for street lighting.

Please anticipate that there will be parking disruptions in Columbian Square while this work is underway. Parking will be available in the municipal parking lot, located off of Chauncy Street and Camelot Street. To reduce impacts, it is encouraged that motorists seek alternate routes and expect brief traffic delays to facilitate efficient work and follow posted detour signage and instructions from the Police Detail Officers. Ambulances and school buses will be given priority access through the work zone.
