Columbian Square Improvement Project Anticipated Construction Schedule: April 22 – 26, 2024

Beginning on Monday, April 22, 2024, the Contractor will be working on the installation of street lighting conduits and light pole bases. While this construction is occurring, crews will be working in both alleys connecting Pleasant Street to the municipal parking lot behind Olden’s Pharmacy. This work is expected to last until Friday, April 26, 2024.

Work is also scheduled to take place on Monday, April 22, 2024 and Tuesday, April 23, 2024 in front of CeCe's Pizza and Catering. To reduce impacts, it is encouraged that motorists seek alternate routes and expect brief traffic delays to facilitate efficient work and follow instructions from the Police Detail Officers. Extra parking will be available in the municipal parking lot, located off Chauncy Street and Camelot Street. Ambulances and school buses will be given priority access through the work zone. Two-way vehicular traffic will be maintained throughout the work zone.

On Wednesday, April 24, 2024, the Contractor will begin moving up Columbian Street, working from the intersection of Pleasant Street and Columbian Street working to Fogg Road.
