Columbian Square Improvement Project Weekly Anticipated Construction Schedule: November 27, 2023 – December 1, 2023

Beginning on Monday, November 27, 2023, the Contractor is scheduled to begin excavating for full depth asphalt replacement near the entrance of Chauncy Street. This work will require the implementation of a detour. Westbound traffic on Pleasant Street turning onto Chauncy Street will be detoured past Chauncy Street, left onto Central Street, then left onto Camelot Way.

Eastbound traffic on Pleasant Street trying to access Chauncy Street will be instructed to turn right onto Union Street and right onto Camelot Way. This work is anticipated to continue throughout the week.

Beginning Monday, November 27, 2023, another crew will be at the intersection of Pleasant Street and Union Street working on conduit installation. A detour will not be required for this work, however, to reduce impacts as much as possible, it is encouraged that motorists seek alternate routes and expect brief traffic delays to facilitate efficient work and follow posted detour signage and instructions from the Police Detail Officers.

The entire roadway reconstruction process is planned to be completed by early to mid- December 2023, weather permitting. Ambulances and school buses will be given priority access through the work zone.
