Weekly Anticipated Construction Schedule: June 26 – 30, 2023

Construction Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00AM – 4:00PM

On Monday, June 23, 2023, construction crews will continue drainage work at the intersection of Pleasant Street and Columbian Street through mid-week. The crew will then proceed to install primary electrical conduit in the main intersection of Pleasant Street, Columbian Street and Union Street. Traffic will be managed utilizing a two-way traffic management plan. Police detail officers will be on site to facilitate safe pedestrian and vehicle movements through the work zone.

A second crew will continue to install water main and service lines on Pleasant Street working toward Wilber Street. This work will require the closure of the eastbound traffic lane at Route 18, eastbound traffic will be detoured to Route 18 north to Columbian Street, from Columbian Street to Pleasant Street.

It is anticipated that mid-week, this crew will relocate to the corner of Columbian Street and Pleasant Street to relocate a fire hydrant and then to Pleasant Street and Chauncy Street. There is the potential for temporary disruptions of water service to facilitate the service replacement. It may be necessary to close Chauncy Street while work is underway and implement a detour to Union Street or Central Street. Police detail officers will be on site to facilitate vehicle movements.
