Opioid Settlement Abatement 2023
Weymouth has been awarded opioid settlement funds from litigations brought against a variety of pharmaceutical companies for their hand in perpetuating the opioid crisis. Through 2038, and beyond; Weymouth aims to utilize the funds to provide prevention education, treatment, and support of recovery service to those impacted by opioid use disorder. As of November 2022, there has been $250,122.63 received and through 2038 payments will total $1,189,352.28 from Janssen Pharmaceuticals and various distributors.
