The grounds of the Emery Estate are currently CLOSED due to construction. Click here for information about the future King Oak Hill Park.
The Emery Estate is a 24-acre property located atop King Oak Hill in East Weymouth. The Town acquired the property in 2011 with $1.9 million in Community Preservation funds. The principal structure on the estate is a three-story colonial house modeled on George Washington’s Mount Vernon mansion. The house is located at the peak of King Oak Hill and offers views of the Boston skyline.
The Emery Reuse Advisory Committee was established by Mayor Robert Hedlund to determine if and how the Emery House can be preserved for a sustainable use. The committee serves in an advisory capacity to the Office of the Mayor and is composed of 15 members of the community appointed by the Mayor.
