ACTIVE TOWN/SCHOOL EMPLOYEES

Health Insurance

I.  Eligibility:     Health Insurance is offered to active employees working 20 hours per week consecutively and actively contributing to a Retirement system (either Mass Teachers Retirement System or Weymouth Contributory Retirement System).  Please note, employees on a no pay leave are not eligible to participate in open enrollment.

Option 1 with a First Day Hospital Confinement Benefit of $500

Legal Insurance 

I.   Eligibility:  Legal Insurance is offered through our vendor Life Plus/Allstate Insurance to active employees working 20 hours per week consecutively and actively contributing to a Retirement system (either Mass Teachers or Weymouth Contributory Retirement).  Please note, employees on a no pay leave are not eligible to participate in Open Enrollment.

I.  Eligibility:     Retirees must be deemed a Retiree and be drawing (receiving) a pension from Weymouth Contributory or Mass Teachers Retirement Systems.   Survivors must have continued benefits or picked up benefits (if they were eligible) when they first became eligible as a survivor.
