Teen Room Policy

The Teen Room, located on the second floor of the Tufts Library, serves the teenagers (grades 7-12) of the surrounding community, and supports their unique interests and needs. It is a safe space for young adults to socialize, interact, do homework, read, and attend programs.

Library patrons of all ages are welcome to browse the Teen collection, but the programs, furniture, computers, and other resources are for teens only. Tutors working with teens are not exempt from this policy. An exception to this policy will be made for teens who need an adult to accompany them because they require special accommodations.

The Teen Room is staffed during library hours after school until closing time, and Saturdays after Labor Day to the weekend before Memorial Day.

All other Weymouth Public Libraries policies apply, including but not limited to the Appropriate Library Use Policy, Safe Child Policy, Tutor Policy and Public Computer Use Policy.
